An electric dehumidifier reduces the amount of water present in the air in a room and helps control common problems such as condensation on windows, mold stains on walls, clothes that take time to dry and a feeling of stuffy air in winter. Comfortable relative humidity in a home is usually between 40 and 60 percent. Installing an electric dehumidifier is simple. You only need a power outlet and a place to place the equipment with enough space around it so that the air inlet and outlet work without obstructions. It is best to place it away from walls and furniture that could block the flow.
Maintenance is reduced to emptying the water tank when it is full, cleaning the air filter periodically and checking that there is no dust on the grilles. A dirty filter reduces performance and increases electrical consumption.
